Trapezoides (Call Background)

As an extension of the Post-derive painting project, I began to think of formal variations that partially adhere to the constraints of the PDP algorithm while allowing for the freedom of a close-to-daily practice.

The result is a living collage that doubles as the background to my daily video calls at work and that follows an exercise of selecting an image from an informal archive of print materials, and applying a variation of the original algorithm to transform the source into a trapezoid that gets added to the grid on a once a day basis.

The grid is arranged to replicate a calendar month (weekdays) and new entries are only created on the days I work at the office.
